When Women in Wheels joined BMW Ladies Day at Goodwood, we knew it would be a day to remember — and it absolutely was. From first arrival to the final afternoon tea, it was a masterclass in how to blend luxury, learning and laughter on four wheels.
Set against the legendary backdrop of Goodwood Motor Circuit, the event brought together women from all over the UK to experience the very best of BMW’s M Series and performance models. It wasn’t about lap times or leader board positions — it was about confidence, control and connection.
A Warm Welcome to Goodwood
The day began in true BMW style. By 8:45am, the paddock was buzzing with energy as guests arrived for registration and a light breakfast. The air was filled with excitement, fresh coffee, and the scent of petrol and possibility.
After a warm welcome and detailed safety briefing, the tone was set: this wasn’t just a driving day — it was an experience designed to inspire. Women supporting women, learning new skills, and sharing in the sheer joy of performance driving.

Track Time — BMW M Series Unleashed
From 10:00 to 13:00, it was time to hit the track.

Under the guidance of professional instructors — and joined by none other than Vicki Butler-Henderson, one of Britain’s most celebrated motoring presenters and racing drivers — we took to Goodwood’s iconic circuit in a fleet of BMW’s finest: the M2, M3, M4, and M5.
Each model delivered its own thrill. The M2 was agile and playful, the M3 precise and assertive, the M4 poised with a hint of mischief, and the M5? A powerhouse of refined performance that made every corner feel effortless.
Vicki’s insight and infectious enthusiasm elevated the day — encouraging every woman to push a little harder, trust the car, and embrace the thrill of precision driving. Her mantra? “Confidence comes from experience — and days like this are where it begins.”

Afternoon Adventures — Road, Rough, and Refined
After a relaxed lunch, the afternoon unfolded into a mix of on-road driving, off-road 4x4 adventures, and skid control training.

The BMW X7 handled the off-road course with luxurious ease — a reminder that power and poise can coexist beautifully. Meanwhile, the MINI Cooper Electric added a spark of modern fun to the mix, gliding silently through country lanes with that unmistakable MINI charm.
Then came the skid pan, where confidence met control. Learning how to handle a car as it breaks traction was equal parts exhilarating and empowering. There’s a moment of pure magic when you stop fighting the slide — and start dancing with it.

The Perfect Finish
By late afternoon, it was time for tea, laughter, and a little reflection.
The event was flawlessly executed — from the seamless organisation and expert instructors to the luxury touches that made the whole experience feel indulgent yet purposeful. As we sipped tea and swapped stories, one message was clear: this wasn’t just a driving event. It was a celebration of women in motion — bold, capable, and unapologetically passionate about the drive.
When Women in Wheels joined BMW Ladies Day at Goodwood, we didn’t just take the wheel — we took the moment. It was about more than speed. It was about sisterhood, skill, and the quiet power that comes from mastering something new.
